Complaint filed against Bachchan for singing Indian anthem incorrectly

NEW DELHI: A complaint has been filed in New Delhi against actor Amitabh Bachchan for allegedly singing the Indian national anthem incorrectly at the Pakistan-India T20 match in Kolkata on Saturday, according to a report by The Indian Express.
The complaint was filed by Ulhas P.R, on grounds that Bachchan sang some words incorrectly and that his rendition of the anthem was 30 seconds longer than the official guidelines provided by the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs.
To mark the historic occasion, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Pakistan singer Shafqat Amanat Ali were present in the Eden Gardens stadium alongside the two teams to sing their respective national anthems before the action kicked off.
Many Pakistani fans were unhappy with Shafqat's rendition of the Pakistani national anthem, with social media users from the country claiming that he made minor mistakes in the national anthem.
Shafqat promptly denied forgetting the lyrics to the national anthem and apologsed, saying he was "deeply hurt" by the allegations, and blamed 'technical glitches' for the apparent mistakes.
