Plane evacuated after bomb scare at New Delhi airport
NEW DELHI: A search operation is underway at the Indira Gandhi Airport after a bomb scare was reported in two flights just as they were about to take off.
The flights – Kathmandu-bound Nepal Airlines and Bhubaneswar-bound Air India were to take off at around 11.30 am this morning. However the passengers and crew were evacuated after the airport received a phone call informing that a bomb had been placed in the aircraft, the Indian Express reported.
